In the studio or on location, the Tintype Studio makes art you will treasure for a lifetime. Founder of the Tintype Studio, James Millar, started his journey rediscovering this long-forgotten photographic process six years ago. Hundreds of plates, and many mistakes later he has now refined the process by marrying an old craft with modern lighting techniques producing images which are both classic and modern simultaneously.
James joined forces with Heather Tyrrell, Heather art directs and runs the shoots, taking the overview to make sure everything looks great whilst James beavers about in the darkroom and takes the pictures, and Lulu ensures everyone is happy and secure.
